Wellness Seedlings

Footsteps towards a healthier LIFE

Hello and Welcome!

This page is a work in progress

So glad that you’re here! Yashodhan Karandikar and I (Sneha Yelimeli) created this blog to document, share and live the lessons being learned from our wellness journeys.

As some of you might know, I’ve dealt with severe spine injuries over the last decade along with other illnesses. I’m happy to share that I’ve been able to overcome some of these problems by avoiding extreme medical interventions and instead focusing on lifestyle changes like posture correction, exercise and nutrition to get better. Similarly, Yashodhan cares deeply about mental health and hopes to share his personal experiences and learnings in dealing with anxiety.

We are far from perfect and we continue to work on improving our health in all regards through good nutrition, exercise, quality sleep and mental wellbeing. But we’ve learned a lot along the way and really care about sharing our journey so it finds its way to someone that might benefit. Follow along if you care about these topics and prefer to use simple lifestyle changes to take control of your health and wellbeing.

Minimal ergonomics to work from home

Our amazing spine enables us to do so much! But if we force it into a C-shaped curve while slouching on a couch with a laptop all day, it’s natural shape would eventually deteriorate. This intuitive understanding and my personal experience of years dealing with back and neck issues has taught me some easy ways to quickly transform my posture (from sitting on the bed with a laptop) into a significantly better state. Here I’m sharing some minimal and inexpensive solutions using things that are readily available at home. We’re likely spending over 1/3rd of our lives working at our desks! Doesn’t this deserve our time?
